Arief Rachman aka GonG was born in Indonesia spends half of his early time in Jakarta where music started to influence his life and choose guitar as his first instrument. In 1997, he moves to Sydney - Australia to pursue study and during that time he changes his instrument into drum. He joined few bands and perform in some private events around Sydney. After few years with the band and faces some difficulties in finding the time to practice with band members, he decided to quit. By late 2004, one of his friends introduce him with the music called Hard Trance at Gas night club, since then his journey into electronic music starts. By early 2006 he decided to produces track of his own and created his own style in music making. In 2007, he and his colleagues started a community group called “Hardstyle Battalion” in Jakarta, with the aim to expand and introduce harder style in dance music into Indonesia.
